To use the , follow these steps:
1. Pour a 5 mL water sample into each of the measuring glasses using the plastic syringe provided.
2. Place one measuring glass on position A in the comparator.
3. Only add the reagent to the measuring glass on position B.
4. Add 4 drops of NO2-1 reagent to the measuring glass on position B, seal the glass, and mix.
5. Add 1 level measuring spoonful of NO2-2 reagent to the same measuring glass, seal the glass, and shake the mixture until the powder has dissolved.
6. Open the glass after 10 minutes and place it on position B in the comparator.
7. Slide the comparator until the colors match in the inspection hole on top. Check the measurement reading in the recess on the comparator reed. Mid-values can be estimated.
8. After use, rinse out both measuring glasses thoroughly and seal them.
9. The reagents can be used for photometric evaluation with the photometer PF-12 / PF-12Plus.
10. This technique can also be used for analyzing sea water.
