To connect the ELAC UCR52 Center Channel Speakers to your amplifier, follow these steps:
1. Use appropriate gauge wires (minimum of 14 gauge wire for runs up to 25 feet).
2. Make sure wire polarity is connected correctly. Most speaker cables are coded for ease of use. Connect the positive (red) connection on the amplifier terminal to the positive (red) on your speakers. Follow the same instructions for the negative side. Strip off approximately 1/2" of the insulation from the ends of the speaker cable, twist the bare strands, and insert them into the binding post.
3. Ensure your equipment is turned off before connecting the speakers.
4. Check to ensure positive and negative wires are not touching each other once they're connected to the speaker terminals.
Note: Most customers use a standard speaker connection, but some customers prefer a bi-wire or bi-amp connection. The manual provides instructions for both types of connections.
For a standard connection, keep the shorting bars in place. For a bi-wire or bi-amp connection, remove both shorting bars.
Please refer to the ELAC UCR52 Center Channel Speakers Instruction Manual for more detailed instructions and illustrations.
