To install and connect the mXion LSS-DKW Turnout Lantern, please follow the instructions provided in the manual. Here is a step-by-step guide:
1. Study the manual thoroughly before installation and operation.
2. Choose a protected location for the decoder and ensure it is not exposed to moisture.
3. Make sure the outputs are set to the appropriate value before connecting any other devices to avoid damage.
4. Install the device according to the connecting diagrams in the manual.
5. Be careful to avoid any short circuits caused by mounting screws or metal.
6. Note the CV basic settings in the delivery state.
7. If using the device outdoors, glue the housing tightly and consider using circuit board seal with Plastik70®.
8. The mXion LSS-DKW is a switch lantern for double crossing points (DKW). It displays the current direction and position of the switch tongues.
9. The module only works digitally.
10. To prevent accidental programming, there is a programming lock using CV 15/16. Changing CV 16 will automatically change CV 15. The programming lock can be reset with CV 7 = 16.
11. The decoder supports various programming types such as bitwise, POM (programming on main track), CV read & write, and register mode.
12. Some CVs consist of binary values, where each function has a bit position and a value. To program such CVs, all the significances must be added together.
13. Switch addresses consist of two values. For addresses less than 256, the value can be directly set in the address low. For addresses greater than 255, calculations are required to determine the address high and low values.
14. The decoder can be reset via CV 7, and different reset functions are available depending on the value written to CV 7.
15. The CV table in the manual provides a detailed description of each CV, its range, and its default settings.
