To select the correct size for the sealing sleeve, follow these steps:
1. Determine the circumference at the height of the medial tibial plateau.
2. If required for the sealing sleeve, determine the circumference 20 cm above the medial tibial plateau.
3. Select the sealing sleeve size that corresponds to the resulting measurement. The next smaller size can be chosen as an alternative.
4. Check the fit of the sealing sleeve.
It is important to ensure that the sealing sleeve fits properly to avoid pressure points and constriction of blood vessels and nerves. If the sealing sleeve does not fit properly, it may cause skin irritation, eczema formation, or infections due to contamination with germs.
