To perform the silica test using the MACHEREY-NAGEL Visocolor ECO Silica HR 200 Test Kit, follow these steps:
1. Rinse a test tube with the sample water several times and fill it with 5 mL of the sample.
2. Place the test tube in a photometer (such as PF-3 or PF-12Plus) as a blank value and adjust it to zero.
3. Add 5 drops of SiO2-1 to the test tube, close it, and mix the contents.
4. Add 1 level measuring spoon of SiO2-2 to the test tube, close it, and mix. Allow the mixture to sit for 2 minutes.
5. Add 5 drops of SiO2-3 to the test tube, close it, and mix again.
6. Clean the outside of the test tube and wait for 2 minutes.
7. Measure the color intensity of the solution in the test tube using the photometer according to the manual for the specific photometer model (PF-3 or PF-12Plus).
After use, rinse the test tube thoroughly and seal it properly.
