To set up the DLT 400 Digi-Wave 400 Series Transceivers and Receivers, follow these steps:
1. Select a DLT Transceiver to be the Master 1. The Master 1 device will declare the majority of the settings for the Digi-Wave system.
2. Use the Menu Navigation Buttons on the device to navigate through the settings menu. The buttons include:
- Power Button: Press and hold for power On/Off. Press quickly to navigate back a step when using the menu.
- Talk Button: Used to talk or stop talking (only available on DLT 400 transceivers).
- Up and Down Buttons: Navigate through menu items.
- Menu/Select Button: Hold down for a few seconds to enter the settings menu. Press to select the highlighted option and move to the next step.
3. Start with the Basic Settings:
- Select a Mode: Choose the appropriate mode for your needs (Intercom, Tour, Hearing Assistance, Interpretation, Court).
- Select Speaking Priority: If this is the first DLT transceiver being set up, select Master 1. Other units will typically be Guest priority.
- Select the group number.
- If in Interpretation Mode, set the Broadcast Type.
- The Master 1 can choose to display the clock and select between a 24-hour or 12-hour clock format.
- If required, manually set the address. Automatic address selection is recommended unless there is a need to override the address.
4. Enter Advanced Settings if more customization is needed. Some advanced settings include:
- Number of Microphones: Limit the number of speakers at one time.
- Tone Control: Adjust the tone up or down to your preference.
- Side Tone Adjustment: Adjust the volume of the speaker's voice as heard in the headset.
- Microphone Gain and Line Gain: Increase the volume of the microphone or input sound.
- Encryption: Add extra security to the transmitted signal via encryption.
- Encryption PIN: Set a PIN for a group or channel to restrict access.
- Allow Join Group: Enable or disable automatic joining of the group.
- Save Profile: Save settings in a profile for future use.
5. Once the settings are configured, the device is ready to be used.
