To install the Dimplex Optiflame 3D Inset Fire, follow these steps:
1. Clean the area where the fire will be installed, removing any ash residue from an existing fireplace.
2. Hold the fire by the sides of the surround and gently maneuver it into position.
3. Plug the fire into a 13amp/240 volt outlet, ensuring that the supply cable is not trapped under the fire.
4. If needed, adjust the feet at the rear of the fire to level it on an uneven surface.
5. Use the keyhole slot on the rear of the fire surround or spacer to provide extra stability. Use a xxxx and rawl plug in conjunction with the keyhole slot to secure the fire to the wall. Note that the rawl plug supplied is suitable for use in block walls only.
6. If your model has a metal surround spacer, it can be removed by unscrewing the fixing screws at the rear of the product. This allows for a fully inset installation in a fireplace.
7. Determine the installation position of the screws, drilling holes for the rawl plugs and inserting the screws.
8. Position the fire alongside the screws and lift it up and over the xxxx heads so that the top edge of the slot on the fire engages behind the heads of the screws.
9. Arrange the fuelbed material (crystals, coal, logs, and pebbles) on the fuelbed to your liking.
Please refer to the instruction manual for more detailed information and illustrations on the installation process.
