The installation of the FISHER PAYKEL HC24PHTX1 Wall Range Hood is relatively straightforward. Here is a step-by-step guide:
1. Determine the installation type: The range hood can be either externally ducted or internally recirculated. Choose the appropriate installation type based on your kitchen setup.
2. Prepare the mounting location: Ensure that the wall where you plan to install the range hood is sturdy and capable of supporting the weight. The recommended height range is 25 13/16" to 43 1/16".
3. Install the ducting (if applicable): If you are externally ducting the range hood, connect the appropriate ducting solution to the air outlet size of 6". Follow the instructions provided in the installation guide for proper ducting installation.
4. Mount the range hood: Position the range hood against the wall at the desired height. Use the two-piece height adjustable feature to align it properly. Secure the range hood to the wall using the appropriate mounting hardware (not included).
5. Connect the power supply: Ensure that the power supply voltage is 120V. Follow the electrical wiring instructions provided in the installation guide to connect the range hood to the power supply.
6. Install the filters: The range hood comes with two dishwasher-safe mesh filters. Insert the filters into their designated slots, ensuring they are properly aligned. Place the stainless steel filter cover over the filters.
7. Test the range hood: Turn on the range hood and test all four fan speeds to ensure proper functionality. Adjust the extraction rate according to your cooking needs.
