1. Before starting the installation, read the safety instructions provided in the user manual.
2. Check the compatibility of your graphics card with the cooler by comparing it with the pictures in the configurator on the Alphacool website or by comparing the PCB number. Ensure that the cooler is designed for your specific card model.
3. Prepare your graphics card by placing it on an antistatic mat. Begin by dismantling the original cooler. Remove the screws at the back of the card and carefully unhook the fan connector. Take caution if the original cooler uses thermal glue to avoid damaging any parts. Clean the hardware of any thermal paste or pad residues using a solvent like isopropanol alcohol.
4. Attach the slot cover using the provided 2 M3x5 screws and M3 nuts.
5. Clean the contact surfaces on the bottom side of the cooler with alcohol or a similar cleaning agent. Ensure the surfaces are free of contaminants. Remove the protective foils from the thermal pads and place them on the copper block as shown in the manual.
6. Apply a thin layer of thermal paste on the GPU using a plastic strip or similar tool. The layer should be less than a millimeter thick to avoid contaminating surrounding components.
7. Place the graphics card on the prepared cooler. Fasten the card using the 4 M2x5 screws with M2 washers. Hand-tighten the screws crosswise, one turn at a time.
8. Remove the protective foils from the thermal pads and place them on the PCB as shown in the manual.
9. Put the backplate on and xxxx it together with the 8 M2x11 screws as shown.
