To assemble and adjust the CS1MX Motion Metal Detector, follow these steps:
1. Join the two stem sections together and tighten the twistlock stem adjuster.
2. Wind the search-head lead around the stem.
3. Adjust the stem for length according to your height and tighten the search-head retaining xxxx to ensure the search-head is parallel to the ground.
4. Push back the retaining clip and remove the battery compartment cover.
5. Insert a 9-volt battery (MN1604, PP3 or equivalent) into the battery compartment, ensuring it is fitted the right way round.
6. Switch on the detector and rotate the Sensitivity Control to the start of the green section on the scale.
7. Rotate the Discrimination Control to the middle of the green area on the scale.
8. Start searching by swinging the search-head from side to side in a relaxed motion, as close to the ground as possible.
