To install the PLANET Gigabit Ethernet Media Converter, follow these steps:

1. Stand-alone Installation:
   a. Turn off the power of the device/station on the network to which the converter will be attached.
   b. Ensure that there is no activity in the network.
   c. Attach the fiber cable from the converter to the fiber network. Make sure to pair TX and RX at both ends.
   d. Connect the 5VDC power adapter to the converter and verify that the Power LED is lit.
   e. Turn on the power of the device/station. The PWR LEDs should light when all cables are attached.

2. SFP Model Installation:
   a. Connect the fiber cable. Attach the duplex LC connector on the network cable into the SFP transceiver.
   b. Attach the fiber cable from the media converter to the fiber network. Make sure to pair TX and RX at both ends.
   c. Connect the 5VDC power adapter to the media converter and verify that the Power LED is lit.
   d. Turn on the power of the device/station. The PWR LEDs should light when all cables are attached.

Note: It is recommended to use Antaira SFP Modules in the Antaira converters. If you insert an unsupported SFP transceiver, the converter will not recognize it.
