Cleaning the IBELL SP900 Dry Burst Steam Iron is important to maintain its performance and prolong its lifespan. Here are the steps to clean the steam iron:
1. Switch off the steam iron and unplug it from the power source. Allow it to cool down completely.
2. Empty the water tank by pouring out any remaining water.
3. Prepare a solution of vinegar and water. Mix equal parts of vinegar and water in a container.
4. Dip a clean cloth or sponge into the vinegar-water solution and use it to wipe the steam soleplate, removing any residues or stains.
5. Pay special attention to any areas with chalk deposits or stubborn stains. Gently scrub these areas with the cloth or sponge.
6. Rinse the cloth or sponge with clean water and wipe the steam soleplate again to remove any vinegar residue.
7. Empty the water tank and refill it with clean water.
8. Plug in the steam iron and set the temperature control to the maximum position.
9. Wait for the steam iron to heat up until the pilot light switches off.
10. Unplug the steam iron and hold it horizontally over a washbasin.
11. Hot water and steam will come out of the steam iron. Move the steam iron in a simulated ironing motion to flush out any remaining residues or impurities.
12. Repeat this process until the water tank is almost empty.
13. Set the steam function to the "no steam" position and plug in the steam iron again. Keep it upright.
14. Set the temperature control to the maximum position and allow the steam iron to become hot again. This will help vaporize any remaining water in the tank.
15. It is recommended to move the steam iron over an old tissue during this process to catch any residual water or steam.
16. Once the steam iron is completely cooled down, you can store it in a safe place.
