There could be a few reasons why your misting system is not effectively cooling down your outdoor area. Here are some troubleshooting tips to help you:
1. Check the water pressure: Ensure that the water pressure is within the recommended range of 275 kPa minimum operating pressure and 345 kPa – 620 kPa operating pressure. If the pressure is too low, the misting system may not produce a fine mist.
2. Verify the misting jets: Make sure that all the misting jets are properly installed and not clogged. Remove each misting jet and clean it with a solution of vinegar or a calcium and iron remover. If the jets are damaged or not functioning properly, consider purchasing replacement jets.
3. Positioning of misting jets: Check the positioning of the misting jets. They should be positioned away from where people sit to avoid dripping water. Also, ensure that the misting jets are spaced between 600mm and 1000mm apart for optimal coverage.
4. Check the misting timer: If you have a misting timer installed, make sure it is programmed correctly. Adjust the "ON" and "OFF" times to regulate the amount of water entering the space. Consider using a misting timer with misting settings for more precise control.
5. Flush the system: Periodically flush the system by removing all misting jets and running water through it for 4 or 5 minutes. This will help remove any debris or blockages that may be affecting the misting performance.
