To install the correctly, please follow these steps:

Step 1: Loosen the clamp xxxx so that the top section separates from the mid section. This will provide the necessary clearance to slide the mount over the mirror stem. Adjust the mirror parallel to the windshield and slightly upward for ease of installation.

Step 2: Before fully tightening the clamp xxxx , make sure the top and mid sections are touching at the pivot point. If you cannot get them to touch at the pivot point, it means you have an incompatible mirror type for this mount.

Step 3: Position the mount as far forward as possible. Tighten the clamp xxxx until the top and mid sections are slightly snug against the mirror stem. You should still be able to rotate the mount.

Step 4: Rotate the mount so that it is parallel with the bottom of the mirror. Tighten the clamp xxxx until the mount is securely attached to the mirror stem. Do not over tighten the clamp xxxx .

Step 5: Install your radar detector onto the mount. Use the adjustments provided to adjust the radar detector to your desired position. It is recommended to adjust the radar detector as close to the bottom of your mirror as possible. After making the adjustments, be sure to tighten the vertical and pivot adjustment screws. For the pivot adjustment, use the long arm of the Allen wrench for maximum leverage. Do not strip the threaded holes in the aircraft-grade aluminum.

Please note that it is important not to use this mount if it interferes with the adjustability or operation of your rear view mirror in any way. Also, do not use this mount if the radar detector creates an unsafe viewing obstruction.
