To clean and descale the Cookworks KE01109-GS Plastic Basic Kettle, please follow these steps:
1. Switch off and unplug the kettle and allow it to cool completely.
2. Press the lid button to open the lid and slide out the filter. Clean the filter under a running tap while gently brushing with a soft nylon brush to remove the scale, then refit.
3. Descale with a proprietary descaler suitable for plastic kettles and use in accordance with the instructions on the pack. Alternatively, you can half fill the kettle with water and add the juice of one lemon. Boil the kettle and allow it to stand for 15 minutes. Repeat this step two more times before discarding the solution.
4. After descaling the kettle, fill the kettle to the maximum level, bring it to a boil, and then discard the water.
5. Wipe external surfaces with a soft damp cloth. Do not use detergent or abrasives as these may scratch the surface.
Please note that regular cleaning and descaling of the kettle will help maximize its efficiency and ensure optimal performance.
