To install the ONE FOR ALL 14450 Smart Antenna, follow these steps:
1. Determine the direction of your TV towers: If you are unsure of the direction of your TV towers, you can check www.channelchecker.com for a simple guide.
2. Improve reception performance: To enhance reception, try moving the antenna closer to a window and facing it towards the direction of the TV towers. You can also rotate the antenna while lying flat or standing to fine-tune the reception.
3. Connect the power: Start by connecting the micro USB connector to the Power Inserter. Then, plug the included power adapter into a standard 120V wall outlet.
4. Connect the antenna to your TV or set-top box: Attach the coaxial cable from the antenna to the ANTENNA IN connector at the back of your TV or set-top box.
5. Position the antenna: The ONE FOR ALL 14450 Smart Antenna can be used in three ways - standing upright, wall-mounted, or flat. If you choose to stand it upright, use the included 2 stands and insert them into the slots on the bottom of the antenna. For wall mounting, drill two holes in your wall with a distance of 178mm (7 inches) between the center of the holes. Insert the plugs into the holes and secure the antenna with screws. It is recommended to finalize the setup before drilling holes to ensure the best reception. Position the antenna as high as possible, close to a window, and facing the direction of the TV towers for optimal reception.
6. Fine-tune the antenna: You can slightly turn the antenna to improve signal strength or reception quality. For more information on fine-tuning, visit www.oneforall.com/support/antennas.
7. Perform a channel scan: Set your TV's tuner mode to ANTENNA and initiate a channel scan. This process may be called AUTO PROGRAM, AUTO TUNING, AUTO SCAN, or CHANNEL SEARCH in your TV's setup menu. If the number of channels or the quality is poor, try changing the antenna's position and repeat steps 1, 2, and 3, followed by another channel scan.
