To prepare the ApplyLabWork MPT-SP001PK MSLA Spring Pink resin for printing, please follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the resin tank and LCD screen are clean before starting the printing process.
2. Shake the resin bottle well before use to ensure proper mixing of the resin.
3. Make sure that the tank and platform are properly fastened to prevent any movement during the printing process.
4. Set up the printer settings according to the recommended settings for your specific printer model. Refer to the provided table for the recommended settings for different printer models.
5. Adjust the exposure time and XY dimension ratio if needed, based on the printing result and part application. The light intensity may vary for each printer, so slight adjustments may be required.
6. If you are printing a large object, increase the lifting distance and recalculate the light-off delay.
7. For the Sonic Mighty 4K printer, set the transition layer count to 20.
8. Avoid using large aspect-ratio geometry, such as thin walls or long thin rods, in the structure to reduce failures.
9. If support is needed, set the contact diameter to be greater than 1.2mm and the density to be greater than 60%.
10. After printing, wipe off any excess resin on the printed parts with a paper towel.
11. Submerge the printed parts into 95% IPA (Isopropyl Alcohol) and place the container in an ultrasonic bath for 5 minutes. Replace the IPA with clean IPA and repeat the ultrasonic washing for another 5 minutes (total 10 minutes).
12. Blow off all excess IPA and set the parts in a shaded and ventilated place to dry for at least 2 hours before curing. Note that the dried print may still be tacky to touch.
13. Post-curing is mandatory for the printed parts. Submerge the parts into glycerol/glycerin and start the FormCure with the recommended settings of 60°C for 30 minutes. Wash off the glycerol in water and dry the parts with a paper towel.
14. If the printed parts are still tacky to touch after post-curing, rinse them with acetone for no more than 1 minute. This will significantly reduce the tackiness.
15. Store the resin in a cool and dark place, away from heat and light. Keep it out of reach of children.
Note: It is important to maintain a well-ventilated printing environment and wear gloves when handling the Spring resin to avoid direct contact. Clean any resin splash on the printer's cover immediately. Gentle mixing of the remaining resin in the tank with a rubber spatula is recommended for color evenness. Do not leave the printed parts on the building platform for more than one day, as the color may gradually turn yellow with continuous exposure to photon energy. Lastly, the Spring resin should not be used with food, drink, or on/in the human body unless specifically indicated.
