To install the AMERICAN LIGHTING HTL-TW-5MKIT High Output Trulux Tunable Tape Light, follow these steps:
1. Make all connections and mount the tape light in place before providing power to the system.
2. Determine the placement of the tape light and whether there will be cuts, splices, or jumpers needed. Make any cuts, splices, or jumps prior to moving on to the next step.
3. Peel the protective backing from the tape light and press it into place on a smooth, clean, non-moving surface. Once the adhesive backing is applied, avoid repositioning, removing, or reusing the tape.
4. Connect the DC plugs from the start of the tape light reel to the LED controller/receiver.
5. Connect the DC plugs from the LED controller/receiver to the DC power supply.
6. Plug the DC power supply into a standard 120V wall socket.
Please note that the tape light should not be operated while on the reel or while it is coiled. Additionally, do not cover the tape light as it may cause overheating, melting, or ignition. Ensure that the tape light is not routed through walls, ceilings, doors, windows, or any similar part of the building structure. Use only the included 24V DC power supply and do not exceed the maximum run length of 16.4 feet.
