To remove the OEM downpipes from your Infiniti Q50-Q60 3.0TT RWD, follow these steps:
1. Make sure you have the necessary tools: a 14mm socket, a 14mm wrench, a 3/8" ratchet, a 3/8" extension, a 3/8" swivel socket, and an O2 sensor socket.
2. Begin by disconnecting the O2 sensors from the downpipes. Use the O2 sensor socket to avoid damaging the sensors.
3. Next, detach the OEM downpipes from the midpipes. This can be done by removing the hardware that connects them. Keep the connection loose for now.
4. Loosen the hardware on the downpipe hanger brackets that attach the downpipes to the vehicle. Do not fully remove the hardware at this point.
5. Push the downpipe upwards until the v-band on the MAP downpipe meets with the outlet flange on the turbo.
6. Slip the v-band clamp over the MAP downpipe. It may be easier to remove the bolt from the downpipe before doing this.
7. Use an extension and a 14mm socket to reinstall the v-band bolt and tighten it. You may need to pry the heat shield around the turbo open slightly to make room for your hands and tools.
8. Once the v-band clamp is securely tightened, proceed to tighten the midpipe connection and the hanger connection.
9. Finally, plug in the O2 sensors into the new downpipes.
