Installation of the Helvar 322 High Bay Multi Motion Sensor involves the following steps:
1. Ensure that you have a suitable junction box for specialist application installations.
2. Take caution not to apply excessive force during installation, as it may compromise the sensor.
3. Connect the DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) using the removable connector block.
4. Use cables with a jacket diameter of 4.5 mm to 7 mm and a wire section of 0.5 mm² to 1.5 mm², either solid or stranded.
5. All cables used must be mains rated.
6. The DALI supply input should be between 12 V and 22.5 V, and the DALI consumption is 10 mA.
7. The sensor includes a light sensor for the bright-out function and a presence detector using passive infrared (PIR) technology.
8. The recommended maximum mounting height is 17 m.
9. The presence detection coverage area is 346 m² at a 15 m mounting height and 87 m² at a 7 m mounting height.
10. The mounting hole diameter should be 51 mm +/- 1 mm, or 52 mm to 55 mm if replacing an older sensor.
11. The maximum ceiling thickness should not exceed 25 mm.
12. The sensor has a bezel diameter of 66 mm.
13. It is recommended to have a clearance depth of 12 cm, including 5 cm for cabling.
14. The casing is made of nonflammable PC/ABS (UL94-V0) material.
15. The finish/color options are semi-matt white (322, 322D2) or semi-matt anthracite grey RAL 7016 (322B, 322BD2).
16. The weight of the sensor is 70 g, and it has an IP code of IP65.
17. The operating conditions should be within an ambient temperature range of 0 °C to +50 °C, with a maximum relative humidity of 90% (non-condensing).
18. The storage temperature range is -10 °C to +70 °C.
19. The sensor conforms to DALI standards (IEC62386, Parts 101, 103, 303, and 304), EMC emission (EN 55015), EMC immunity (EN 61547), safety (EN 61347-2-11), and environmental directives (WEEE and RoHS).
20. Compatibility with routers and designer software may vary depending on the model. For 322D2 and 322BD2, compatibility is with Router 950 and Designer 5.8.2 or later. For 322 and 322B, compatibility is with Routers 905, 910, 920, 950, and Designer 5.4.0 or later.
