To set up alarms on the ONSET MX2201 HOBO Pendant MX Water Temperature Data Logger, follow these steps:
1. Connect to the logger using the HOBOconnect app.
2. Tap on the logger in the app to select it.
3. Tap on "Configure & Start" to access the logger configuration settings.
4. Tap on the sensor/channel for which you want to set up an alarm.
5. If logging is not enabled for the sensor/channel, tap on "Enable Logging" to enable it.
6. Tap on "Alarms" to open the alarm settings.
7. Select "Low" if you want an alarm to trip when the sensor reading falls below a certain value, or select "High" if you want an alarm to trip when the sensor reading rises above a certain value.
8. Enter the desired value for the low or high alarm threshold.
9. Choose the duration for which the sensor reading should be out of range before the alarm trips (Cumulative Samples or Consecutive Samples).
10. Repeat steps 4-9 for any other sensors/channels for which you want to set up alarms.
11. In the Alarm Settings area, select how the alarms should be cleared: "Logger Reconfigured" or "Sensor in Limits".
12. Tap "Start" to save the configuration settings and start logging.
Once the alarms are set up, the logger alarm LED will blink and an alarm icon will appear in the app when the sensor reading goes out of range. This will alert you to any temperature fluctuations in the water.
