To properly operate the Mr Heater MHC125FAV Forced Air Propane Construction Heater, follow these steps:
1. Check the heater for any shipping damage. If any damage is found, notify the manufacturer immediately.
2. Read and follow all safety precautions and warnings provided in the owner's manual.
3. Connect the POL fitting of the hose and regulator assembly to the propane cylinder by rotating the POL nut counterclockwise into the propane cylinder's valve outlet and securely tighten with a wrench.
4. Connect the hose to the heater by rotating the hose fitting clockwise.
5. Securely tighten all gas connections with a wrench.
6. Open the cylinder's gas valve and check all gas connections with a soap and water solution. Do not use a flame.
7. Connect the power cord to a well-grounded 120V, 60 Hz, 1Ø power source.
8. Before igniting the heater, allow the heater fan (blower) to run for 20 seconds to purge fuel.
9. Slowly open the main valve at the propane cylinder.
10. Rotate the valve control xxxx to the LOW/IGN position and depress the xxxx to release the fuel.
11. After the heater lights, keep the valve control xxxx depressed for 30 seconds, then release it. The heater will continue to operate.
12. Adjust the burn rate by setting the control xxxx to the desired level.
13. The igniter will continue to fire as long as the power cord is plugged in.
14. To stop the heater, securely close the valve on the propane cylinder. Continue to operate the heater until all fuel in the hose has burned, then turn the control xxxx to the OFF position.
15. Once the unit has cooled, unplug the power cord.
