To replace the battery in the RAELink3 transmitter, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that you are in a non-hazardous location before changing the battery.
2. Remove the 3 Phillips-head screws on the transmitter to access the battery compartment.
3. Lift out the rechargeable lithium-ion battery or alkaline battery pack.
4. If you are replacing the AA batteries in the alkaline battery pack, remove the two Phillips-head screws on the inside, remove the cover, and replace the 5 AA batteries (Duracell MN1500 or Energizer E91 only). Make sure to observe the correct polarity ("+" and "-") for each battery and do not mix old and new batteries.
5. Place the new battery or battery pack into the transmitter.
6. Secure the battery compartment by reattaching the screws.
7. If using the rechargeable lithium-ion battery, charge it before use by attaching the instrument to the Charging Adapter. Align the Charging Adapter with the back of the RAELink3 and slide it onto the back until the latch clicks into place. Plug the power supply's connector into the input on the side of the Charging Adapter and plug the power supply into a wall outlet. The LED Charging Indicator in the Charging Adapter should glow red to indicate charging and green when the battery is fully charged.
