To connect the Graviton PA Series O-E Converter to an instrument, follow these steps:
1. First, confirm that the power switch on the O/E converter is off.
2. Connect the Power Cable Assembly supplied with the converter to the power input connector on the rear panel of the converter. If your instrument has a probe power connector, connect the other side of the power cable to it. Refer to page 6 of the manual for connecting an external power supply if your instrument does not have a probe power connector.
3. Turn on the power switch.
4. Connect the fiber connector to the optical signal input connector on the front panel of the converter.
5. Adjust the voltage and sweep time of the instrument to observe the light signal. Make sure to select 50[Ω] impedance on the instrument.
6. If the instrument does not have a BNC jack, a conversion connector may be required to connect the O/E converter to the instrument's input connector.
Please refer to the user manual for more detailed instructions and illustrations on connecting the O/E converter to an instrument.
