To lock the tongs, close the clamps and push the "Lock System" to the front. To unlock the tongs, pull the Lock System back. The Lock System is located at the top of the straightener, as shown in Figure 1 of the instruction manual. Make sure to lock the tongs when not in use to prevent accidental activation and for safe storage.
