To install the AeroCool Verkho 1-3P CPU Air Cooler, please follow the steps outlined in the user manual:
1. Prepare the necessary tools: You will need a Phillips screwdriver and thermal paste.
2. Remove the existing CPU cooler: If you have a previous CPU cooler installed, carefully remove it by unscrewing the mounting screws and disconnecting any power cables.
3. Prepare the CPU socket: Clean the surface of the CPU using isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth. Make sure there is no residual thermal paste or debris on the CPU.
4. Apply thermal paste: Apply a small amount of thermal paste onto the center of the CPU. Spread it evenly using a plastic card or the included thermal paste spreader.
5. Install the backplate: Place the backplate on the rear side of the motherboard, aligning it with the CPU socket. Secure it in place using the provided screws.
6. Install the mounting brackets: Depending on your CPU socket type, attach the appropriate mounting brackets to the cooler base. Refer to the user manual for the specific instructions for your socket type.
7. Attach the cooler to the CPU: Carefully place the cooler on top of the CPU, aligning the mounting brackets with the holes on the backplate. Gently press down to ensure a secure fit.
8. Secure the cooler: Use the provided screws to fasten the cooler to the mounting brackets. Tighten them evenly in a diagonal pattern to ensure proper pressure distribution.
9. Connect the fan: Connect the fan cable to the CPU fan header on the motherboard.
10. Test the installation: Power on your computer and check the CPU temperature in your system's BIOS or using monitoring software. Ensure that the temperature is within acceptable limits.
