To connect the KENWOOD KCT-46 Ignition Sense Cable to your transceiver and PC, please follow these steps:
1. Make sure the cable is compatible with your KENWOOD transceiver. This cable is exclusively designed for use with KENWOOD transceivers and should not be used with other types of transceivers.
2. Install the UART driver or USB driver from the supplied CD to your PC. This will enable the proper communication between your transceiver and PC.
3. Connect one end of the cable to the transceiver. The specific connection point may vary depending on the model of your transceiver. Please refer to your transceiver's user manual for the exact location.
4. Connect the other end of the cable to the USB port on your PC. Ensure a secure connection is made.
5. Once the cable is connected, you can use the appropriate software provided by KENWOOD to program or control your transceiver through the PC.
Please note that this cable is designed for programming and control purposes and is not intended for power supply. If you need to power your transceiver from a cigarette lighter in your automobile, you should use the filtered cigarette lighter cord provided. Make sure to follow the precautions mentioned in the manual regarding the voltage source and fuse replacement.
