To set up the AudioQuest DragonFly Black v1.5 USB DAC with your computer or mobile device, follow these steps:
1. For Use with Apple OS X:
- Insert the DragonFly Black into your computer's USB port.
- Open "System Preferences" and click on the "Sound" icon.
- In the Sound panel, click on the "Output" tab and select "Audio Quest DragonFly Black 1.5" as the output device.
- Adjust the volume using the host's system volume control.
2. For Use with Windows:
- Insert the DragonFly Black into your computer's USB port.
- Go to the Start menu and launch "Control Panel."
- Open the "Hardware and Sound" panel and select "Sound."
- Under the "Playback" tab, select "Audio Quest DragonFly Black" as the default device.
- Adjust the volume and sample rate settings as desired.
3. For Use with Apple Mobile devices:
- Connect the DragonFly Black to your iPhone or iPad using an Apple Lightning-to-USB Camera Adapter or Camera Connection Kit.
- Turn down the volume on your mobile device.
- Select your desired music/media app and adjust the volume to the desired level.
4. For Use with Android Devices:
- Check if your Android device supports audio over USB by downloading and running the USB Host Check app.
- Connect the DragonFly Black to your Android device using an appropriate USB cable and an OTG adaptor.
- Turn down the volume on your Android device.
- Select your desired music/media app and adjust the volume to the desired level.
