To install the STAHL 265083 Cable Gland with Multiple Sealing Insert, follow these steps:
1. Select the appropriate cable gland size based on the cable diameter. The cable gland is suitable for cable diameters from 1 to 48 mm.
2. Ensure that the cable gland is suitable for the specific hazardous area classification. The STAHL 265083 Cable Gland is designed for safe cable entry in Ex e and Ex i areas.
3. Identify the correct cable entry point on the enclosure. The cable gland has a clamping range of 3.2 to 3.5 mm.
4. Remove the blue cap nut (for Ex i version) or the black cap nut (for Ex e version) from the cable gland.
5. Insert the cable through the cable gland and tighten the cap nut onto the enclosure. Ensure that the cable gland is securely fastened.
6. If the cable entry is not being used, a stopping plug can be integrated to seal it.
7. Check that the cable gland provides a proper seal by verifying the IP68 degree of protection. The cable gland is tested to withstand 5 bar for 30 minutes.
