To install the drill bit on the HIKOKI DH 18DPA Cordless Rotary Hammer, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the power switch is in the OFF position and the battery is removed.
2. Clean the shank portion of the drill bit.
3. Smear the drill bit shank with grease or machine oil.
4. Insert the drill bit into the chuck until it contacts the innermost end of the chuck.
5. Turn the drill bit while gently pressing it in until the groove of the drill bit catches and it is fully inserted.
6. Pull the drill bit to make sure it is locked in place.
