To install the SBi AC01216 Fresh Air Intake Kit for Chic-Choc Cookstove, please follow the provided installation instructions:
1. Cut two strips of self-adhesive gasket, one measuring 19" (483 mm) (B) and the other measuring 22" (559 mm) (C).
2. Install the two strips of self-adhesive gasket (B and C) on the fresh air intake (A) as shown.
3. Cut the micro joints of the back sheet heat shield.
4. Remove the ash drawer (I).
5. Position the air intake (A) underneath the stove.
6. Fasten the air intake at the back of the stove using two screws (E, 2x).
7. Fasten the air intake on the front of the stove using two screws (E, 2x).
8. Make a 6" x 6" (150 mm x 150 mm) opening in the outside wall behind the unit.
9. Install a 5" insulated flexible duct (G) to the air intake housing using a clamp (F).
10. Attach the other end of the flexible duct to the air intake cover (D) with another clamp (F).
11. Secure the air intake grille with four screws (H, 4x) (not supplied in this kit).
It is important to periodically inspect the fresh air intake assembly and duct to ensure that it is not obstructed.
