To install the , please follow these steps:
1. Turn off the gas and disconnect the electric power.
2. Remove the control access panel and open the electrical box cover (if provided) to locate the existing fan control.
3. Disconnect the four wires from the fan control. Save the blue and red wires that connect to terminals 1 and 3, and discard the brown and black wires that connect to terminals A and B.
4. If your unit is equipped with a junction box heat shield, disconnect the limit control wires, remove and discard the heat shield, and reconnect the limit control wires.
5. Remove and save the two screws that secure the existing fan control. Remove and discard the control.
6. Install the replacement fan control by positioning it in the same location and sliding the fan control shield through a hole in the panel. Insert the sensor side of the fan control into the shield.
7. Secure the replacement fan control and fan control shield using the two existing screws.
8. Connect the blue and red wires to the replacement fan control.
9. Install the time delay relay by removing and saving the two screws that secure the patch plate to the panel. Discard the patch plate.
10. Position the relay mounting bracket in the same location, orienting it so that the large tab is at the top and the small tab is at the bottom. Align the mounting holes.
11. Secure the relay mounting bracket using the two existing screws.
12. Secure the time delay relay to the mounting bracket using the xxxx from the kit.
13. Connect the time delay relay wires in accordance with the wiring diagram shown in Figure 5 of the manual.
14. If the fan control is in the line voltage circuit, leave the existing limit control installed and wired on the unit.
15. Close the electrical box cover (if provided) and install the control access panel.
16. Turn on the electricity and gas, and check the unit for proper operation.
