To connect the kvm-tec Gateway to a virtual machine or remote PC outside the switching network, follow these steps:
1. First, connect the remote unit (CON/Remote Unit) and the Gateway using the supplied 12V 1A power supply.
2. Connect the keyboard and mouse to the remote unit.
3. Connect the Gateway and the remote unit with a network cable.
4. Connect the screen on the remote side using a DVI cable.
5. Connect the remote audio/out to speakers or headphones using the audio cable.
6. Connect the Gateway to the internet using a network cable via the LAN port.
Once these connections are made, the kvm-tec Gateway is ready to connect to virtual machines or remote PCs outside the switching network. You can use the RDP or VNC protocol to establish the connection. Enter the login data for the desired PC and connect to it.
