To connect the AirgainConnect AC-HPUE Antenna Modem to your router or laptop, please follow these steps:
1. Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the WAN port of your router or the Ethernet port of your laptop.
2. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to the LAN port of the Ethernet Injector.
3. If your model of AirgainConnect has coaxial cables for Wi-Fi and GNSS/GPS, connect those cables to the appropriate SMA ports on your router.
4. Connect the AC-HPUE AC adapter to a power source.
5. Connect the power cable's 4-pin connector to the PWR IN port of the Ethernet Injector.
Once the connections are made, the LED status indicator on the AirgainConnect AC-HPUE Antenna Modem will provide information about its status. Here are the possible LED states and their descriptions:
- Power off & sleeping: The LED is off when the power is off or the device is sleeping.
- Booting up: Solid blue LED while the device is booting up.
- No SIM card: Solid red LED after bootup when there is no valid SIM card inserted.
- No signal: Blinking red LED after bootup when there is no cellular coverage signal, followed by blinking green, followed by a solid blue LED after reboot.
- No USB connection: Blinking red LED after bootup when there is no connection to the antenna-modem.
- Connecting: Blinking green LED while the device is connecting to the cellular network.
- Connected: Solid green LED when the device is connected to the cellular network.
Please note that it may take at least 60 seconds for the device to initialize and connect after power is applied. If you are activating a new SIM card, allow 5 minutes for the process to complete. A solid green LED indicates that the device is connected and ready.
Ensure that you are within range of cellular service and that your router or laptop is configured for DHCP to obtain an IP address from the network. If your ethernet port is set to PPPOE or a static IP address, change it to DHCP.
