To adjust the sensitivity setting on the EMX ULT-MVP™ Multi-Voltage Vehicle Loop Detector, you need to use the 10-position rotary switch. The sensitivity level increases from position 0 (lowest setting) through 9 (highest setting). Typical applications require a setting of 3 or 4.
To set the sensitivity, follow these steps:
1. Observe the ULTRAMETER™ display while a vehicle is moving into position near the loop.
2. Note the number displayed on the ULTRAMETER™.
3. Adjust the sensitivity setting (10-position rotary switch) to match the number displayed on the ULTRAMETER™.
4. Retest the product by moving the vehicle into and out of the detection zone to ensure the setup and location are working as intended.
It is important to note that the sensitivity adjustment must be set to a specific whole number. There are no half settings available.
