To set the JENNAIR JJW6024HL RISE 24" Built-In Steam and Convection Wall Oven to self-clean, follow these steps:
1. Remove the broiler pan, grid, cookware, and bakeware from the oven.
2. Remove oven racks to keep them shiny and easy to slide.
3. Make sure there is no foil inside the oven, as it may burn or melt and damage the oven.
4. Hand clean the inside door edge and the 1 1/2" (3.8 cm) area around the inside oven cavity frame with a damp cloth, being careful not to move or bend the gasket.
5. Wipe out any loose soil to reduce smoke and avoid damage.
6. Close the oven door.
7. Touch the Settings keypad.
8. Select the Self Clean icon.
9. Select the desired self-cleaning level: Light (1 hour and 15 minutes), Medium (1 hour and 40 minutes), or Heavy (2 hours).
10. Follow the prompts on the oven display to prepare the oven for self-cleaning.
11. Select START to begin the self-cleaning process.
12. The oven doors will automatically lock after the self-cleaning cycle starts.
13. Once the self-cleaning cycle is complete and the oven has cooled down, the oven doors will unlock.
14. Use a damp cloth to remove any ash left inside the oven.
Please note that during the self-cleaning cycle, the oven lights will not work, and the oven will reach very high temperatures to burn off the soil. Make sure to keep the kitchen well-ventilated during the self-cleaning process to help get rid of heat, odors, and smoke. Do not block the oven vent(s) during self-cleaning, as air must be able to move freely.
