To calibrate the APERA SX731 Portable pH/Conductivity/ORP Meter for pH and conductivity measurements, please follow these steps:
pH Calibration:
1. Power on the meter by pressing the power button.
2. Connect the 201T-S pH electrode to the meter.
3. Short press the calibration key to enter calibration mode (c1 will start flickering on the LCD).
4. Rinse the pH electrode with pure water and remove excess water.
5. Insert the pH electrode into the pH 7.00 buffer solution and make a quick stir.
6. Hold the pH electrode still and wait for the reading to stabilize on the screen.
7. Short press the calibration key again to finish the 1st point calibration (pH 7.00 will start flickering).
8. Rinse the pH electrode with pure water and remove excess water.
9. Insert the pH electrode into the pH 4.00 buffer solution and make a quick stir.
10. Hold the pH electrode still and wait for the reading to stabilize on the screen.
11. Short press the calibration key again to finish the 2nd point calibration (pH 4.00 will start flickering).
12. Rinse the pH electrode with pure water and remove excess water.
13. Insert the pH electrode into the pH 10.01 buffer solution and make a quick stir.
14. Hold the pH electrode still and wait for the reading to stabilize on the screen.
15. Short press the calibration key again to finish the 3rd point calibration (pH 10.01 will start flickering).
16. The meter will return to measurement mode, and the calibration is complete.
Conductivity Calibration:
1. Power on the meter by pressing the power button.
2. Connect the 2301T-S conductivity electrode to the meter.
3. Short press the calibration key to enter calibration mode (cal will start flickering on the LCD).
4. Rinse the conductivity electrode with pure water and remove excess water.
5. Insert the conductivity electrode into the 1413 μS standard solution and make a quick stir.
6. Hold the conductivity electrode still and wait for the reading to stabilize on the screen.
7. Short press the calibration key again to finish the calibration (1413μS will start flickering).
8. The meter will return to measurement mode, and the calibration is complete.
Please note that these are general instructions, and it is important to refer to the user manual for specific details and variations based on your specific meter model.
