To defrost the freezer compartment of the respekta KG Series Fridge-Freezer, follow these steps:
1. Remove all contents from the freezer and transfer them to a separate cooling box.
2. Switch off the appliance by turning the thermostat to position 0/OFF and unplug it from the mains.
3. Allow the encrusted ice to melt naturally. Do not support the defrosting process with hot water.
4. Place dry cloths inside the appliance to absorb the melting water.
5. Start by removing the larger pieces of ice, then remove the smaller pieces.
6. Clean and dry the interior of the appliance, including the shelves and door seals, with a soft cloth.
7. Leave the appliance door open for a while to allow any remaining moisture to evaporate.
Please note that using mechanical devices, knives, or sharp-edged items to remove encrusted ice is not recommended as it can cause electrical shock. Always follow the safety instructions provided in the user manual.
