To install the CPU on the ASRock Z790M PG Lightning motherboard, follow these steps:
1. Before inserting the CPU into the socket, check if the PnP cap is on the socket and if the CPU surface is clean.
2. Unplug all power cables from the motherboard.
3. Open the CPU socket by lifting the lever on the side.
4. Align the notches on the CPU with the notches on the socket.
5. Gently place the CPU into the socket, making sure it is properly seated.
6. Close the CPU socket by lowering the lever and securing it in place.
7. Connect the CPU fan to the CPU_FAN header on the motherboard.
8. Connect the CPU power connector from the power supply to the ATX12V1 header on the motherboard.
9. Double-check all connections and ensure that the CPU is installed correctly.
10. Plug in the power cables and turn on the computer.
