To descale the DeLonghi ECAM 22X.2Y Bean To Cup Espresso And Cappuccino Machine, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the machine is in stand-by mode (off, but connected to the power supply).
2. Remove the water tank and empty it.
3. Prepare a descaling solution by mixing the recommended amount of De'Longhi descaler with water in a container.
4. Pour the descaling solution into the water tank up to the indicated level.
5. Place a container with a minimum capacity of 2 liters under the coffee spout and the cappuccino maker.
6. Press and hold the descale button (B4) for at least 5 seconds until the descale LED starts flashing rapidly.
7. The machine will automatically start the descaling cycle, alternating between pausing and delivering liquid from the steam/hot water spout and the coffee spout. The descaling solution will flow through the machine's internal circuits.
8. After the descaling cycle is completed, the low water level indicator (B10) will light up.
9. Empty the container used to collect the descaling solution and rinse it thoroughly.
10. Remove and empty the water tank, then fill it with fresh water up to the MAX level.
11. Press the descale button again to start the first rinse cycle. The medium intensity LED will blink to indicate that the rinse is in progress.
12. After the first rinse, empty the container and repeat the process for the second rinse using fresh water.
13. Once the second rinse is completed, the descaling procedure is finished. Empty the container and refill the water tank.
14. Reassemble all components and the machine is ready for use.
