To install the SW-MOTECH GPT.01.841.70000-B Trax Topcase System, please follow these steps:
1. Make sure you have all the necessary parts listed in the instruction manual.
2. Ensure that your vehicle is parked safely and cannot fall over. Turn off the engine and remove the ignition key. Let the engine/exhaust cool off if necessary. Disconnect the vehicle battery when working on the electrical system.
3. Open the passenger seat and remove the original seat rubbers. Insert the rubber dampers instead.
4. Loosen the splint of the support-staff shown in the drawing. Pull the support-staff out of the upper anchorage. Support the passenger seat with a suitable object during the mounting process.
5. Loosen the marked screws of the bench and remove it from the vehicle.
6. Remove the plastic caps and the original screws of the passenger grips. Then remove the passenger grips carefully.
7. Create small cutouts into the tail panels for reassembling the passenger grips.
8. Insert the plastic plugs into the ends of the mounting struts.
9. Attach the mounting struts with the passenger grips to the vehicle. Keep the spacers with some grease in position.
10. Attach the mounting struts behind both passenger footrests.
11. Use liquid thread locker and tighten the screws, but do not fully tighten them yet.
12. Reattach the support staff to the passenger seat, then reattach the bench to the vehicle.
13. Attach the luggage rack onto the mounting struts.
14. Use liquid thread locker and tighten all screws as specified in the parts list.
15. Perform a comprehensive check of all functions before riding, and regularly check the tightening torque of all connections and the proper fit of the product.
