There are two alternative ways to connect to or set the device's management IP address: using the pre-set management IP address or connecting a monitor and keyboard to the server.
1. Using the Pre-Set Management IP Address:
- Connect a PC directly to the device's management port using an Ethernet cable.
- Set the PC's IP address to 10.0.20.100 and the subnet mask to 255.255.0.0.
- Open a web browser and enter the management IP address of the VB330-Appliance (10.0.20.101) to access the web user interface.
2. Connecting to the VB330-Appliance Using SSH:
- Download and install an SSH client like PuTTY from http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sg...
- Open PuTTY and enter the VB330's default management port IP address (10.0.20.101) as the Host Name.
- Click the OPEN button and log in using the default Linux login (root for the user and mpeg101 for the password).
- Use the nmtui tool to edit the network connections.
3. Connecting Monitor and Keyboard to the VB330-Appliance:
- Connect a monitor and keyboard directly to the VB330-Appliance server.
- Boot the server and log in using the default Linux login (root for the user and mpeg101 for the password).
- Use the nmtui tool to edit the network connections.
Once the network settings have been configured, the web user interface can be accessed using the IP address set for the management port. Launch a web browser and enter the management IP address in the URL field to access the web UI.
