To install the Globe 91002380 Wall Sconce, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the wall switch that controls the light and go to the main service panel to remove the fuse or trip the breaker that controls the circuit where the fixture will be installed. Make sure to tape a sign to the panel warning others to leave the circuit alone while you work.
2. For plug-in installation:
a. Mount the mounting bracket on the wall and secure it with the provided screws.
b. Adjust the cord length if necessary by sliding the plug cap off the cord plug, cutting the cord to the desired length, and reattaching the cord to the plug.
c. Secure the fixture onto the mounting bracket with the provided screws and decorative nuts.
3. For hardwire installation:
a. Remove the back plate by unscrewing the decorative nuts.
b. Unwire the black and white wire from the cord, keeping the switch on the black wire connected.
c. Install the mounting bracket inside the canopy using the provided screws and decorative nuts.
d. Connect the ground wire from the outlet box to the ground xxxx on the mounting crossbar using a wire connector.
