To attach the Trailer Valet JX Series Manual Hand Crank Trailer Jack to your trailer, follow these steps:
1. Prior to installation, raise the trailer tongue until you have enough space to attach the jack. The trailer's weight must be supported by an existing support or tow vehicle.
2. For side jack installation:
a. Place the mounting bracket onto an 8-inch clearing on your trailer frame where the jack can freely rotate from its vertical position to its horizontal stow position.
b. Secure the mounting bracket with the four included bolts at the desired height.
c. If you are installing the 5k model, place the connection point of the jack tube into the mount bracket and fasten it with the included Stow/Clevis pin. Use the cotter pin to secure the Stow/Clevis pin.
d. If you choose to use the security bolt (only for JX5K-S model), it slots through the back of the mounting bracket and threads into the attachment point of the jack.
3. For center jack installation:
a. With the footplate detached, drop the jack into the hole located in the trailer's coupler.
b. Ensure that the support plate on the jack has one flattened corner facing forward, towards the front of the coupler.
c. Fit the jack to the coupler and secure it with appropriate bolts specific to your coupler. Alternatively, the center jack can be welded for a more permanent attachment.
