To adjust the height of the hanging shade on the Visual Comfort BBL 5182 Sash Large Hanging Shade, follow these steps:
1. Feed the hanging cable through the collar ring, canopy, and mounting plate.
2. Adjust the hanging cable to the desired length.
3. Install the cable lock to the hanging cable and tighten the ends with a screwdriver.
4. After achieving the desired fixture height, shorten the hanging cable using wire cutters.
Note: Make sure the fixture height is accurate before cutting the cable.
5. Loosen the set xxxx on the wire stop, then feed the fixture electrical wire through the canopy and wire stop.
6. Adjust the wire to the desired length and tighten the set xxxx .
Note: Make sure there is no tension on the electrical wire when the fixture is fully extended.
7. Cut any excess wire, leaving enough to reach the junction box.
8. Remove the outer housing of the wire by making a neat cut about 1" from the end, then remove and discard the 1" piece of housing.
Note: Be careful not to cut too deep into the housing to avoid damaging the electrical wires.
