To install the Celestron 94050 Dew Heater Ring on your telescope, please follow these steps:
1. Orient your telescope vertically, with the front of the telescope pointing straight upward.
2. Remove the dust cover and any dew shield connected to the optical tube.
3. Use the included paper installation shield to cover the optics during installation to protect the Schmidt corrector lens.
4. Carefully unthread and remove the screws that connect the telescope's corrector retaining ring to the front cell.
5. Remove the retaining ring and the gasket material ring underneath it.
6. For 8", 9.25", and 11" telescopes, slightly bend the plastic ring to provide clearance with one of the pins on the interior of the front cell.
7. Place the dew heater ring where the retaining ring was previously, aligning the through holes in the dew heater ring with the threaded holes in the telescope's front cell.
8. Reinstall the screws, lightly tightening them at first and then firmly tightening them in a cross pattern.
9. Remove the paper installation shield.
