To install the Electrolux EMBS2411AB 24 Inch Built-In Side Swing Microwave Oven with the built-in trim kit, follow these steps:
1. Before beginning the installation, switch off the power at the service panel and lock it out to prevent accidental switching on. If the service cannot be locked, securely fasten a prominent warning device, such as a tag, to the service panel.
2. Confirm that the floor is level before installing the exhaust duct. The level bubble should be an equal distance from the level guide lines.
3. Make sure to read and follow the installation instructions carefully. The built-in kit is designed for use only with Electrolux microwave ovens specifying a built-in kit.
4. Choose a suitable location for your microwave oven. If building it in above a wall oven, ensure a minimum clearance of 3 inches between the wall oven and the microwave oven. Refer to the illustrations in the manual for proper location.
5. Prepare the cabinet or wall cutout according to the specified dimensions in the manual. The cutout dimensions for height, width, and depth are provided.
6. Ensure that the electrical outlet is not located in the shaded area as indicated in the manual.
7. Assemble the exhaust duct by placing it in the opening and securing it with three short screws ( xxxx A). Confirm that the floor is level before installing the exhaust duct.
8. Set the exhaust duct into the front cabinet microwave oven cutout and center it right and left. Mount the exhaust duct using three short screws ( xxxx A).
9. Install the rails by securing them to the oven base plate with four short screws ( xxxx A). Be careful not to scratch the microwave oven.
10. Install the rear duct by aligning it with the back of the microwave oven and sliding the tabs into the slots on the right side. Use two short screws ( xxxx A) to secure the top of the rear duct and three short screws ( xxxx A) to secure the back of the rear duct.
11. Plug the power cord into the wall receptacle and slide the microwave oven assembly gently into the cabinet, ensuring the assembly is centered and the top edges of the exhaust duct are centered in the opening. The exhaust duct should be tight against the cabinet.
12. Secure the rails to the cabinet by driving four short screws ( xxxx A) through the exhaust duct and rails into the cabinet.
13. Install the front frame assembly by positioning it square with the oven and carefully placing it on top. Secure the assembly with two long screws ( xxxx B) at the top and two long screws ( xxxx B) at the bottom.
