To set up the alphahom Care Go Smart Personal Safety Alarm, please follow these steps:
1. Read the user manual and search for "Care Go" in the App Store or Google Play Store to download the Care Go app.
2. Open the app, register your account, and allow the permission requests.
3. Tap on "Add Device" and follow the steps to connect the device.
4. Press the button at the bottom of the Care Go device until the device indicator flashes in red, green, and blue.
5. Go back to the app and select the Care Go device to be connected. You can rename it to finish the pairing process.
6. Choose to add a Protector (recommended) or skip this step.
Definition of Owner and Protector:
- Owner: The person who needs to be protected and carries the Care Go device. The device requires constant connection with the owner's smartphone within 100 feet.
- Protector: The owner's emergency contacts, usually trusted friends or family members who are invited by the owner. Protectors will be notified with an alert in case of SOS or Follow Me mode activated by the owner.
SOS Mode:
- To activate SOS mode, pull upward the upper part of the Care Go device. The device needs to have a stable connection with the owner's smartphone.
- The Protectors will receive a notification via the Care Go app and should take immediate action.
- Note: Only the owner's smartphone can cancel the alarm. To stop SOS mode, ensure that the Care Go device maintains a stable connection with the owner's smartphone.
Follow Me Mode:
- To activate Follow Me mode, twist clockwise the upper part of the Care Go device. The device needs to have a stable connection with the owner's smartphone.
- The Protectors will receive a notification via the Care Go app and will have access to the real-time location of the owner.
- If the Protectors are using an iOS-based smartphone, they can receive Critical Alerts even if the phone is set to Silent/Do Not Disturb mode.
