To pair the Bluetooth remote with your smartphone using the Celestron 81038 NexGO DX Smartphone Adapter Kit, please follow these steps:
1. Insert or replace the battery in the remote: Place your thumb in the center of the back cover, press inward, and slide downward to remove the battery door. Insert the CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing upward. Replace the cover.
2. Activate pairing mode on the remote: Press and hold the button on the remote for 5 seconds. A blue light will turn on and, after a few seconds, start blinking. This indicates that the remote is now in pairing mode.
3. Pair the remote with your smartphone: Open the Bluetooth settings on your phone and search for available devices. Look for a device called "GBshutter" and select it to pair with your phone.
4. Use the remote with your camera app: Open your camera app on your smartphone. Press the button on the remote to trigger the shutter and take a photo. If your camera is in video mode, you can press the button once to start recording and press again to stop recording.
Please note the following safety instructions for the battery:
- Only use the included CR2032 battery and insert it correctly with the positive side facing upward.
- Do not use a damaged battery.
- Avoid extreme cold or hot locations for the battery to prevent shortened battery life.
- Dispose of the battery according to local regulations and do not put it in the fire.
