To install the Tala Basalt Nine Pendant, please follow the steps outlined in the installation guide provided with the product. Here is a summary of the installation process:
1. Before starting, it is recommended to have a qualified electrician perform the installation. Ensure that the light fitting is connected to the supply earth.
2. Switch off the electricity supply at the mains and withdraw the fuse or switch off the circuit breaker.
3. Attach the ceiling bracket (Component A) to the ceiling using appropriate screws and plugs for your ceiling type.
4. Optional: If you want to reverse or replace the display panel, remove the panel and display disk by loosening all nuts and washers, including the nine cord grips. Rotate the disc 180 degrees to display the alternative finish if available. Reassemble the plate in the same order and fasten it securely with nuts and washers. Replace the cord grips and secure them.
5. Attach the ceiling plate (Component B) to the ceiling bracket using the safety tether clips (Component D).
6. Thread all nine pendant cables through the ceiling plate cord grips.
7. Pull the cables through to your desired length and tighten the set screws using a flat head screwdriver.
8. Cut off excess cable and strip wires to expose the copper core, maintaining all double insulation.
9. Connect the pendants, plate, and mains wiring as shown in the guide.
10. Lift the plate to sit flush with the ceiling, ensuring that the pins are located at the opening of the bayonet fitting.
11. Rotate the plate anti-clockwise until the pin is locked into the bayonet mechanism. Secure the plate in place using the provided bolt.
12. Insert bulbs into the pendants and xxxx them clockwise.
